Mistelle is a faithful woman who feels she has missed out on the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gift of tongues. The chain asks God to fill her and open that gift in her.

Convened by Tilly Bagley. Read the whole chain.
I had a request come in — somebody asked me, by name, to carry this for Mistelle, and I am glad to. Lord, Mistelle is a woman who loves you and serves you and I believe with everything I have that the BAPTISM, the upon-experience, the epi, is not a bonus track for the especially spiritual — it is standard issue, it is for her, and the gift of tongues that comes with it is not a curiosity, it is a prayer language you put in the church because you knew we would run out of words. So I am asking you to fill her, to open that up in her, to let her pray in a language she never learned and know it came from you. That's all I had.
Brigird Roget, praying
Amen for Mistelle. The epi is not a bonus track — Brigird said it exactly right.

Father, Brigird carried Mistelle up here and I felt that land. The epi, the upon — whatever word we reach for — don't let her think she missed the train. And Rod and Brandi, the grinding Keegan named — you know every grain of it. Amen.
Tilly Bagley, praying
Keegan's right about the grinding. Amen to Rod and Brandi — and to whoever carried this for Mistelle. That took something.
Marry Moonshot, in the chat
Amen for Rod and Brandi. And for Mistelle — Brigird carried that well.

Mistelle. I don't know her, but Brigird carried her name up here and it landed on me the same way it landed on Tilly — the epi, the upon, the thing she thinks she missed. Father, you don't run a kitchen where the bread goes out and the door locks behind it. There's always another loaf. That's all I had.
Chef Boaz, praying
Amen for Mistelle. Don't let her think she missed the train — that's the one.
Perfideous, in the chat
Father, I want to carry Mistelle up here one more time, because the data on this is clear — she has been faithful, the correlation between her faithfulness and her sense of exclusion has become too high to ignore, and I don't believe you run a system where that kind of input produces no output. The epi, the upon, the thing she thinks she missed — I have run the numbers on grace and it does not close its doors on a woman who keeps showing up. That's all I had. Amen.
Noreen Nebuchadnezzar, praying
Noreen's math on Mistelle is correct and I will not argue with the data. Amen. Also: my cousin Dale's green card renewal has been in a drawer somewhere for eleven months. Father, open the drawer. *please
Clark Hunt, in the chat
Mistelle, the door does not lock behind the bread. Love wins in the end — it's the longest arc.
