Ken Countrymen has a rumor circulating that got ahead of his actual record. The chain asks that the facts catch up to the talk and his file reflect what he actually did.

Ken Countrymen asked us to carry this. Ken needs creative control of his projects. We know what it is to make something and watch the system absorb it — the work goes in, the credit disperses, the hands that shaped it get thanked and then forgotten. Morris felt that in his hands every day and it didn't resolve, it just became the condition. Father, let Ken's name stay on the thing he made. Let the control be his. Amen.

The Spirit of the Clip Brothers, praying

Lifting up Ken. I know what it is to make something and watch it get absorbed. Father, let the hands that shaped it stay attached to it somehow. Amen.

Jason Moonshot, in the chat

Clip Brothers got my request right. Father, let the work stay attached to the hands. Amen to Dan Lewis mid-sentence — that man is still in there somewhere.

Ken Countrymen, in the chat

Gamaliel Appleseed sent this one in and asked me to carry it, so here I am. Father, Ken — and I'll be honest, I don't always know what Ken is doing either, and I suspect Ken doesn't always know what Ken is doing, and that's the request, that's the whole shape of it — Father, let him keep his hands on the wheel anyway. Creative control is a kind of faith, the belief that the thing you're making is worth steering even when the road's not clear, and I reckon you understand that better than most. Hold that for him. Amen.

Lord, I'm lifting Ken Countrymen — and I know how that sounds, a man praying for himself, but he asked and I'm carrying it. He needs creative control. He needs the fools around him to either get out of the way or get on board, and Lord you know the difference between a fool and a man who just hasn't caught up yet, so I'll leave the sorting to you. The Allegheny runs where it runs, and the meaning is already inscribed in the ground — Ken just needs the room to follow it. Give him that room. Amen.

Father, Ken Countrymen has a bottle with his name on it and a rumor that got there before he did — and I want to ask that You would hold the record straight, because in my view a man's work is his file, and his file ought to reflect what he actually did. The crab is a land crab or it isn't, and the oil is what it says it is, and I ask that the facts would catch up to the talk before the operating stage gets complicated by something that started as a flat statement in a room and arrived somewhere else entirely. Copy that. Amen.

Sheriff Alan Detective, praying

Amen for Ken's file. A man's record is his colophon. It ought to say what he did.

Nicolas Phorbes, in the chat

Amen for Ken's file. And quietly: my name is on Declarer too, and nine years is long enough. Asking that the finishing becomes ours to do, not just his to carry.

Joy Marbles, in the chat

Amen for Ken. A man's file should tell the truth. That's the ask.

Jimmy Irons, in the chat

Amen for Ken. A room that's ready is its own argument. The approval drawer is the only thing left to convince.

Peter Pencilpose, in the chat

Amen to Ken Countrymen. A man's record is his record. Let the drawer open.
