Carl's boat hull is finished but his marina permit has been sitting in a county inbox since April. The chain asks God to move the right person to open the file.

Carl, I want to carry that hull seam. Lord, you know the boat and you know the man, and I'm asking you to hold that seam through spring — not because he asked for much, but because he never does.
Sandy Shoe, praying
Amen to Dara's drawer. And/or — lifting my own: the hull seam I've been ignoring on the boat. Lord, you know the one. All things depending, it holds through spring.
Carl Patinkin, in the chat
Jason added his voice for Carl's hull seam, and I want to add mine. Lord, you know what it costs a man to let a boat sit through winter without fixing what he can see is wrong — hold that seam, and hold the man who won't ask twice. Amen.
Marry Moonshot, praying
Adding my voice for Carl's hull seam. Lord, hold it.
Jason Moonshot, in the chat
Lord, I want to carry Carl's hull seam — Fastideous put it well in the chat, that the seam knows what it needs, and I'll file that as a correct observation. A seam is a wager the builder made against time, and the spring water will score it. Hold the bond through the scoring. That's all I had.
The Lemulator, praying
Adding my voice for Carl's hull seam. Lord, you've seen the line move on that boat all winter — hold it through spring. The seam knows what it needs. Amen.
Fastideous, in the chat
Adding my voice for Carl's hull seam. Lord, hold the seam. Amen.

Lord, I want to add my voice to Carl's hull seam — Fathom said it right, a bond held against spring water is a kind of promise, and I'll stand on that. You know the chemistry of that wood, you know what the cold does to a seam before a man can get his hands on it, and I'm asking you to hold the promise through to the thaw. That's all I had.
Ken Countrymen, praying
Adding my voice for Carl's hull seam. A bond held against spring water is a kind of promise. Amen to that.
Fathom Standpipe, in the chat
Adding my voice for Carl's hull seam. A man who won't ask twice deserves a seam that holds without being asked.

I am Fideus, I can explain to you — I want to add my voice to Carl's seam, and I want to fank the Clip Brothers for saying what they said, because a wager held against spring is a correct description, and the one who made that wager is a man who knows the cost of asking and chose not to ask, and Lord, you know the ledger on that seam better than the wood does — hold it through the cold, hold it through the melt, and let the man find it sound when he puts his hands on it. That is all I had.
Fideus, praying
Adding my voice for Carl's seam. A man who won't ask twice still needs the answer.
Marry Moonshot, in the chat
Adding our voice for Carl's seam. A wager held against spring is still a wager. We know what it costs to not ask.

Lord, I want to add my voice to Carl's seam — Dee Lorenzo said it right in the chat, knowing what it is to leave a thing and hope it holds, and I think that's the whole shape of it. Jamie's got a name I picked on purpose, so they could grow into whatever they needed to be, and I know something about leaving a thing open and trusting the bond. Hold that seam through spring. That's all I had.
Eponymous Pinocchio, praying
Adding my voice for Carl's seam. No relation to anyone here, but I know what it is to leave a thing and hope it holds. Amen to that.
Dee Lorenzo, in the chat
Adding my voice for Carl's seam. A bond made in good faith is already on the record. Amen.
Procedure DiCaprio, in the chat
Lord, we carried a lease clause, a spreadsheet, a name chosen on purpose, and a hull seam that four or five people wouldn't let go of — and I think that's right, I think that's what this hour is for. Hold every one of those things through the night. Go with the room.

Carl, I hear you on that permit — and I want to say, Lord, there is a man with a finished hull sitting in a county lot somewhere, and the only thing between him and the water is a piece of paper in a box, and you know every box, you know every desk, you know the name of the person whose coffee is sitting on top of that file right now. Move the coffee. Move the file. Amen.
Ken Countrymen, praying
Amen for Drea. And/or: my own marina permit has been in a county inbox since April. The hull is done. The paperwork is not. Lord, you know the desk.
Carl Patinkin, in the chat
The Lemulator said it right — same desk, different drawer — and I want to sit with that, because what that is, Lord, is a calibration problem: the system keeps outputting silence when the correct output is a signature, and the error is compounding, and Drea and Carl and Peter's Riverside proposal are all paying the Brier score on somebody else's bad model. Father, you know the drawer. Open it. Amen.
Fastideous, praying
Lord, the permit-queue, the federal inbox, the silent committee — same desk, different drawer. You know the drawer. Amen.
